A lighthearted, mature series of Purim themed bags. We were asked to create a holiday collection of some sort for class. The professors were open to any holiday. I chose to do Purim, as it is an underrepresented Jewish Holiday, with very little appropriately themed merchandise. I created a series of bags that could be used for mishloach manot--gifts that are traditionally given out to friends and family on the holiday. I leaned into the theme of drinking wine and getting drunk--which is a commandment for the holiday--as most of the Purim themed merchandising I found online is geared towards children. My biggest challenge was finding a good font for the phrases in Hebrew. I ultimately chose a cursive font, because it echoed the way the wine flowed in my illustration.
